A season is not a weather promise: conditions and opening times should always be checked before setting out.
Winter
Mountains outside. Quiet within.

At Le Mourtis, skiing, sledging or a walk in the snow may be possible when conditions allow. Winter at Au Moulin is above all about contrast: heading towards the peaks, then returning to the quiet of the valley.

Around the Moulin, the tree cover and river set the pace. Higher up, Le Mourtis becomes a base for outdoor activities whose opening days and arrangements should be checked in advance.

The red deer rut is one of the defining sounds of autumn in the Barousse. Listen from a respectful distance, ideally on a guided outing, without trying to approach the animals.
