A natural setting

Beautiful, alive — and deserving of care.

The river and terrain are part of the experience. They also require simple, constant attention.

A living river

Current, depth, rocks and water level change with rain and weather. Stones can be slippery; access, swimming and water play remain the responsibility of supervising adults.

Natural ground

The grounds slope and can be uneven, gravelly, muddy or slippery. Closed shoes are recommended, especially after rain.

Children supervised

Immediate, constant adult supervision is required beside the river, on the steep stairs and throughout the natural outdoor areas.

Reduced mobility

The slope, natural ground and indoor stairs currently make the cottage unsuitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Wildlife

Insects, reptiles and other wild animals may be present. Do not approach, feed or handle them, and keep children at a safe distance.

The owners’ animals

Guard dogs, a cat, hens, goats and a neutered billy goat live in the neighbouring private area. Do not enter enclosures, feed them without permission or leave a child there alone.

Pets not permitted

The official policy is that guests may not bring pets. An exceptional request may be considered case by case before booking; approval is never automatic and requires prior written confirmation.

No smoking indoors

The cottage is entirely non-smoking.

Controlled fire only

No outdoor fire is allowed outside the fixed barbecue provided.

Frequently asked questions

Useful answers before you book.

The questions guests ask most often, answered clearly.

Is the cottage entirely private?

Yes. Au Moulin is an entire holiday home for four guests with its own entrance. The owners’ private area is nearby and is not part of the rental.

How are the two master suites arranged?

The two suites are independent. Each has a 160 × 200 bed, its own shower room and a private toilet, so two couples can retain their privacy.

Can guests swim in the river?

The property borders the Ourse de Sost, but being close to water does not make swimming safe. Current, depth, rocks and water level vary; entering the water and water play are always the responsibility of supervising adults.

Is there Wi‑Fi and mobile coverage?

Wi‑Fi is available in the cottage. Mobile coverage is very weak and may disappear depending on the network and weather.

Is there a washing machine or tumble dryer?

Not at present. A self-service laundrette is available in the Gourdan-Polignan shopping area, about a 10-minute drive away.

Is the setting suitable for young children or reduced mobility?

The sloping grounds, direct river access and fairly steep indoor stairs require constant child supervision and currently make the cottage unsuitable for guests with reduced mobility.

When is the exact address provided?
