How many people can stay at Au Moulin?
The cottage accommodates a maximum of four guests in two suites.
Is the cottage completely independent?
Yes. You have the whole house and a separate entrance, in a quiet forest setting. The owners live nearby; their private area is not included in the rental.
Is it suitable for two couples?
Yes. Each suite has a queen-size bed (160 × 200 cm), its own shower room and private toilet. The living room and kitchen provide space to get together.
Is the cottage suitable for young children or people with reduced mobility?
The sloping ground, direct river access and fairly steep indoor staircase require constant adult supervision of children. These features currently make the cottage unsuitable for people with reduced mobility.
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes, bed linen and towels are provided.
What equipment is available for a baby?
A travel cot is available on request and a safety gate is provided. There is no high chair. Children must still be supervised near the river and on the stairs.
Is there Wi‑Fi and mobile coverage?
Wi‑Fi is available in the cottage. Mobile coverage is very weak and may vary with the network and weather.
Does the cottage have a washing machine or tumble dryer?
The cottage has neither a washing machine nor a tumble dryer. A self-service laundry is available in Gourdan-Polignan, about 10 minutes away by car. If it is unavailable, for an urgent need or a change of bed linen, we offer an occasional washing and drying service for €10, carried out over the course of a day. Contact us to arrange it.
Can we swim in the river?
The property borders the Ourse de Sost and the river can be reached from the cottage. Swimming is not supervised: current, depth, rocks and water level vary. Entering the water and playing in it remain the responsibility of the supervising adults.
What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival is between 4 pm and 10 pm. Departure is before 11 am.
How do we reach the cottage, and where can we park?
The last stretch is a fairly steep gravel descent followed by a tight bend. Drive slowly and carefully. Parking on the property is limited to two vehicles.
When will we receive the exact address?
After your stay is confirmed and before your arrival, we send the full address, GPS location and access directions.
Are pets permitted at Au Moulin?
The official policy is that guests may not bring pets. An exceptional request may be considered case by case before booking, with no guarantee of approval and only after prior written confirmation.
Can we charge an electric vehicle at the cottage?
Charging electric vehicles from the cottage’s sockets is prohibited.
What can guests do around Au Moulin?
Barousse combines hiking, fishing, cycling, villages, heritage and wildlife. Le Mourtis, Luchon, Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, the Gargas caves and Val d’Aran broaden the choice of outings.
How can I check availability?
